Social Time

I had a very social day on Thursday. After a morning walk around the neighborhood I met a friend for lunch in Walnut Creek then Emmy and I went to the Godfather Winery on Mare Island and enjoyed some delicious wine on the porch of the beautiful old officers house where the winery is based. After that I had dinner with friends at a yummy sushi place in Concord before ending the night back at Emmy‘s house. What a great day!

The next morning I walked through the Markham Nature Preserve which is near Emmy’s house-listened to happy day campers playing games on the grass. After that I met a woman who had started a nonprofit consulting firm last year and talked to her about her experiences. She  was delightful, full of energy and enthusiasm, which was wonderful to be around. After I got home I helped mom finish staining the outdoor glider bench I had put together last week-it looks fantastic! My sister Christina came over and made a scrumptious tri-tip dinner for us-what a treat, and a lovely way to end the week.

  1. The Godfather Winery is a hidden gem. We went for the first time a few months ago, and yes, we ended up joining the club.
