Started out the week with a road trip to Paso Robles with Emmy. Spent a wonderful (and warm!) afternoon wine tasting, first time for both of us in Paso. Had a gorgeous private spot with a view of the vines at Austin Hope, the neck towels soaked in ice water were an especially wonderful treat as the temperature rose. Then we headed down the road to Summerwood and relaxed on the patio as the breeze kept us cool.
Spent the evening in the delightful company of a fellow retired Bar Association ED, swapping war stories and enjoying her lovely home. I could spend more Mondays like this – definitely not ready for reality yet. I’m so grateful to be able to have this time to have fun and reconnect with people.
