Challenging Wordle on Friday morning, but I managed to figure it out, I like starting my day with this little challenge. Spent the day getting ready for my trip – doing laundry, packing, taking out items that I didn’t need, etc. Mom and I watched the latest Jeopardy Tournament of Champions final, it’s interesting that all three finalists this year are from Northern California. I went over to Emmy’s for dinner-we got takeout from Naan n Curry, one of our faves.
On Saturday I went on my last hike for awhile with my hiking buddies. Since I didn’t have much time we did a short 4 mile section of the Ridge Trail from Browns Bridge in Fairfax to Big Rock on Lucas Valley road. I got there early enough to watch the sunrise. The 1,000+ foot elevation gain was worth it for the beautiful views. We finished fairly quickly so had time for a detour to Nicasio where we saw the beautiful St Mary’s church, unfortunately the Nicasio Valley Cheese Company was not open yet-I would have loved to get some of their delicious cheese for my lunch.
I headed home and spent time with the family before we got dropped off to catch the Marin Airporter bus to SFO. Beautiful skies as we crossed the Golden Gate Bridge. After getting through the long bag drop off line at Air New Zealand we headed to our gate where Annemarie ran into a family she used to babysit for-such a small world! Now we are eagerly waiting to board our flight – woo hoo!!!
