Today I went on a cheesemaking tour and tasting at Bohemian Creamery in Sebastopol. I am so impressed with the multitude of different and scrumptious cheeses that this little creamery makes. They put in all kinds of interesting additives to the cheeses and in the brining process – one had coffee, another seaweed and a third all kinds of different herbs and leaves from the coastal forest. There’s even a cheese that tastes like cheesecake! The names are also creative; Three Trick Pony, Shredder, Holy Moly, Heatwave, Grits (Goat Riders In The Sky) to name a few.
Couldn’t get over the delicious smell in the aging rooms, the moldy cheeses did not put me off in the least, the more mold the better I say!
This is a beautiful area to experience fall, every day the trees are starting to change color more and more.

What a fun outing. I’ll have to plan a visit there.
