February Feels

Here what I’ve been up to the last week and a half besides paid work:

Attending CCCBA’s Lunar New Year celebration, catching up with friends.

Going to the county Lunar New Year celebration to hear my favorite Taiko drummer, Kristy Oshiro.

Last JNE meeting in San Francisco, only one more to go!

Going to the Grid Memories exhibit at Heron Arts. 

Hike on the Owl trail

Seeing Lady D and her Band of Brothers at Mac’s in Fairfax. Great music!

Working on my gap year guide. 

Working on art pieces. 

Going to see the Women’s Adventure Film Tour. Inspiring women of all ages!

Seeing a cool quilt exhibit at the Mill Valley Community Center when picking up an application for an art show. 

Helping mom with insurance company calls for medical bills we’ve been trying to get paid forever.

Hiking in a new-to-me place in the hills above Marin City that is very popular with dog walkers, and seeing an adorable group of preschoolers is walking to the park.

Making lemon bread. 

Going to an interesting talk about Angel Island from a ranger who has lived there for 25 years. 

Getting my haircut

Going for a walk with Julie, meeting Irma, a recent widow getting out for exercise to make herself feel better, reading chalk quotes and info on the trail.

Going to a wonderful classical music concert with mom. 

Volunteering for the food bank. Great people!

Seeing demonstrations of different kinds of fiber art and checking out the exhibit at the Sausalito Center for the Arts

Looking at art exhibits in Point Reyes with my sister Lori, meeting a friendly artist named Ernesto, hearing live music, checking out the locals photo wall then taking Javi to the beach

Taking my sister Christina to the airport for her spring training trip.
