Got out for a bike ride today to the store and one of my favorite local free little libraries that has a lovely seating area. I found a book on biking the North island in New Zealand written in the early 80s, and one about a guy who quit his job and spent a year as a beachcomber. I sat and read while munching on beignets I had just picked up. Heaven!
Tonight I watched the movie ‘Giant’ starring James Dean, Rock Hudson, Elizabeth Taylor and a very young Dennis Hopper. Brought me back to the early 80s 501 commercial ‘Travis, you’re a year too late!’
