Intentions

On Sunday morning I did more collage art then went for a hike up to the Miwok trail. On the way up in the shade I saw some different kinds of mushrooms (the turkey tail mushrooms were gorgeous!) and a long banana slug.

Once I got to the top it felt really good to feel the sun on my body, though the wind was freezing! As I sat looking out at the ocean, I spent some time thinking about my intentions for the year, a suggestion that had come up during the collaging workshop as something that could be incorporated into collage work. Here’s what I came up with:

My intentions – what I want my life to look like.

  • I have energy to continue exploring, both internally and externally.
  • My body feels alive because I am treating it well.
  • I earn money from doing things that interest me and that I enjoy.
  • I spend time with people who I like, make me happy and help me learn and grow.
  • I have close, loving relationships with my family.
  • I am connected to a community.
  • I spend a lot of time in nature and help create an environment where nature and people can thrive together.
  • I’m excited about where I am and what’s ahead.
  • I cherish the unknown.
