I woke up as we were pulling into Jasper and had a couple of hours to walk around. Not much was open, though there was a fantastic coffee shop where I got a large latte that was absolutely enormous! I walked around town and took pictures of the surrounding mountains, totem pole and chatted with some of the other folks from the train. The train crew washed the windows before we left so we’d have better photo opportunities. The pic below shows them washing my window.
Jasper was our entry to Banff National Park and the Canadian Rockies. And pretty much all I did all day was take pictures. Even though much of the Rockies were covered in clouds it was still beautiful scenery. We saw a bear during lunch – that was exciting!
