Tuesday was a travel day for me. Took the bus from my Airbnb to downtown Sherbrooke where I caught the Limocar bus from Sherbrooke to Montreal. Then it was a half hour walk through Montreal going past the neighborhood I’ll be staying at when I come back next week and to the train station to catch my train to Montreal. I had lunch at The Deli Planet, a restaurant that has a retro Superman vibe.
It was a nice trip on the train to Montreal, very relaxing. I love how trains have wider seats and more room to move around. I had an aisle seat, but there was no one in the window seat, so I sat by the window and enjoyed the extra space to myself. Got to see a little bit of the sunset and lots of views of beautiful trees changing color. Unfortunately with the glare on the windows I couldn’t get many pictures. I got into Montreal just before 9 o’clock and then had a half hour walk to my Airbnb. Luckily, it was a pretty straight shot and I went through a relatively busy area with lots of cafés and restaurants that were still open. I would’ve had to wait another half an hour to catch a bus and still have to walk a little bit so I just decided to walk and it was totally fine. Flavie, my host, was very sweet and got me settled in. I crashed out, looking forward to a good sleep before heading to Old Québec on Wednesday.
