City Life

I have spent the last couple of days house and dog sitting in San Francisco. I’m in Midtown Terrace and it’s a quiet lovely little neighborhood. The house has a hot tub and that’s been a real treat, especially in the foggy evenings. Margot, the dog I’m looking after injured her shoulder yesterday morning, so she has to take it easy. We’ve been chilling out together.

I’ve gone out for a few walks. Besides the views of nearby Sutro Tower, I’ve seen lots of beautiful flowers and goats taking care of the local hillside. I also managed to slip in the mud on a short trail walk, at least it was a pretty place to be in when I fell on my butt!

On my wanders I stopped at the store to get a tea strainer and giggled at the onion goggles. Wow- I never imagined someone wearing something like that. I also saw a hauling truck for a company called Peace Out Junk. Walking past a barbershop, I saw an older gentleman getting his eyebrows trimmed. So cute!

I started watching Queen Charlotte on Netflix, and I’m really enjoying it. I loved Bridgerton, and it’s fun to get some of the backstory on Queen Charlotte and Lady Danbury. And of course, the costumes are just amazing!
