I took the dogs out for a nice long play at the local dog park, it was great to be out on a cool refreshing morning.
Later in the day I drove to Sebastopol to have a look around and found many very creative little free libraries, as well as cute old houses, glorious cottage gardens and intriguing handmade outdoor art. I love how fun and funky Sebastopol is.
It’s been a few years since I’ve explored Sebastopol and I ended up on many country roads I’ve never been on before, many had a strong scent of manure in the air (I passed a small farm where the pigs and sheep were enjoying a mid afternoon snack) We go to Sebastopol every year the day after Thanksgiving to cut down our Christmas tree, but I don’t usually get to do much more than drive to the tree farm and maybe to a local park for lunch, it was wonderful to slow down and see parts of the town at walking speed. I was drawn to a beautiful garden entryway at an episcopal church, ended up wandering to the back of the property where there was a labyrinth! I love walking labyrinths and was so excited to have come across one out of the blue.
