Saw a shooting star last night, and this morning a little cottontail bunny ran past the door.
Wendy and I went for a walking on the McLeod creek trail, a wonderful area with many spots to sit by the creek and relax, even a place to set your phone so you can listen to the water and birds without distraction. We ended up at a community park where the dog park even has a pond for the dogs.
Next up was coffee and lunch at Harvest – I had a delicious salmon asparagus eggs benedict. We got home and watched as a storm moved in- really windy, layers of clouds. I snuggled under a warm blanket in front of the fireplace listening to thunder, watching rain and lightning. We don’t get a lot of this in California!
Later we went to the spa – had a lovely soak in the hot tub and enjoyed the steam room. On my walk back the sun was streaming through the clouds, then a few minutes later the rain started up. I was bemoaning my wet state when I turned around and saw the most beautiful double rainbow! I have never seen one so bright before. Definitely worth the little soaking I got.
