Second Christmas

We had a lovely late Christmas celebration at Emmy‘s house with Kourtney, Kieran, Mom and I. Emmy made a yummy brunch, we opened presents and got caught up with each other. It was really nice having a smaller group to celebrate the holidays with. My presents were all technology-related, I got a much needed new laptop and AirPods. I was down to one AirPod that had very low volume!

After we got home, I spent time learning the crochet stitch that I would need for one of the Christmas presents I got. It took a while but I got the hang of it, though I think my stitches may be too loose so I’m probably going to have to get a smaller crochet needle. It was absorbing, I forgot how much I enjoy yarn craft. Maybe it’s time to get my knitting needles out again?

September memories – Mom at Smith Ranch  Rehab hospital which ended up being better than expected. Sunset at Muir Beach, great folk bands at Mill Valley Music Festival, sound bath yoga at the Bedford Gallery with wonderful collage artworks, learning more about nonprofit finance, looking after Rocky for the first time and enjoying a place to myself, going to a staged reading of Shameless Hussy, mom’s wrist finally feeling better. Doing a lot of collaging, going to an exhibit at the de Young and to the Cal-APABA Gala with Mika and James, Dutch Bros fundraiser, going to the fall equinox sound bath, Emmy spending time with mom

My omen for the day was about being ok with things changing frequently and unexpectedly. Driving to and from Emmy’s house with it alternating pouring rain and sunshine often within 30 seconds! Just go with what is happening and enjoy where you are.
