Hike Therapy

After two very busy and emotional days, it was really good to get out for a hike with a friend on Sunday morning. We met at Olompali State Park in Novato for a couple hours hike on the shaded trails. It was just what I needed, a chance to catch up with a friend and talk about all kinds of stuff, especially what our lives might have been like had we stayed married. Definitely unimaginable at this point!

Afterwards, I did some much-needed, though dreaded, shopping. Luckily, it was easy to find what I was looking for – another pair of running shoes and some new bras. Not exactly exciting, but I needed both of them big time, I got them on sale. I was glad I didn’t have to deal with a lot of people and could find what I needed.

When I got home I finished editing my judicial candidate report and typed up notes for work the next day. I ended the day making a donation to Kamala Harris‘s presidential campaign – what would it be like to finally have a woman president? I keep thinking about what an amazing Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern wasin New Zealand. I can only hope we ever get such a wonderful, courageous and compassionate leader.
