I spent a fabulous day hiking at Portola Redwood State Park with a friend from my bar association days. We took a few different trails, both huffing and puffing up the steeper than expected hills, then settled in at the campfire center to eat our lunch. Our topics ranged all over the place from how much we’re enjoying working in different areas, to the books we are reading, concerts we’ve been to and how we have been enjoying slower paced lives. Heaven!
My morning started with a walk through the neighborhood where I saw a mama deer and two babies grazing next to a seasonal creek. Adorable!
