Old Bill’s Fun Run

A relatively quiet day today, we both participated in Old Bills Run, Christina did the 10K and I did the untimed fun run. This is a fantastic community event that is free for anyone to enter, and they encourage people to donate to their favorite local nonprofits. The start of the race was at the local elementary school field which was ringed with booths for dozens of local nonprofits. It was such a fun event, lots of positive energy and excitement from the participants, and of course the views were amazing. After the run was done they held the diaper derby where anyone under the age of one could participate, I think it was one of the cutest things I have seen in a long time!

After stopping at a red phone box that had been converted to a Little Free Library (adorable!), and checking out a new community outdoor art installation we got lunch at Pearl Street Bagels and made our way home after stopping to pick up some things from Ace Hardware and go grocery shopping at Albertson’s. Chrissy headed to the local park to read and hang out by the creek with Javi and I laid on the couch to read and promptly fell asleep! It felt so luscious to take an afternoon nap. When I finally woke up I packed for my camping trip to Yellowstone, we had dinner and watched a bit of Netflix. Tomorrow is a hike at Jenny Lake!
